Southard Reid is pleased to announce Edward Thomasson’s second solo exhibition at the gallery. Thomasson will present recent works on paper alongside Pressure, 2016, a new video that explores how feelings are managed and organised in mutually beneficial relationships. Constructed and recorded on the set of his play, Volunteers, 2016, at David Roberts Art Foundation earlier this year, the video employs text and song to describe three fictional situations in which people voluntarily allow themselves to be used by other people.
